In Kimberley, small-town values and an easygoing lifestyle mix easily with unique shopping opportunities, a range of dining options (from fast to formal), a number of schools for students from K to Grade 12 (including Selkirk Secondary School, one of Canada's oldest and most highly regarded international schools), public library, new aquatic centre, numerous arts and cultural venues, doctors and dentists who are still taking patients, and many other services and modern amenities of a larger center.

A broad selection of hotel and rental accommodations makes Kimberley an ideal setting for meetings, retreats, reunions and similar events. Kimberley's new conference centre (scheduled for completion in 2010) will allow the community to host conventions and major sporting events.
