Kimberley BC Development Encourages Local Children to Compete in Photo and Video Contest
Kimberley, British Columbia (June 24th,2011) - Today Brian De Paoli, Sales Manager of Sullivan Landing announced that the new community of Sullivan Landing in Kimberley, BC, is launching a photography and video contest for all local children to submit photos and videos of their hometown to encourage a greater sense of community.
The contest encourages youth, up to the age of 18 to take photos and videos in and around the communities in Kimberley, spotlighting their favourite part of living in the city. “The City of Kimberley is such an amazing place, we really want to encourage the youth here to get excited about their hometown,” explains De Paoli. “Having them submit photos of their favourite place not only encourages them to explore their city, but also encourages other Kimberlites to see places they may have missed. We really want them to try and capture what living in Kimberley means to them in a photo or video.”
The contest is divided into two groups, 12 and under and 13 -18, all entrants must be enrolled in school in Kimberley in the 2010/2011 school year. First place prize for both groups is an iPad2 while a second place earns an iPod Nano! All prizes will be awarded at the 2011 KidsFest in Kimberley on July 17th, 2011. Integra Air Coming to BC: Giving Residents the Ability to Experience the True ‘Fly-in and Fly-out’ Lifestyle

June 2011 (Cranbrook, BC) - News Release - Residents of British Columbia’s smaller cities may soon have access to a new air service provided by Integra Air, who is prepared to begin air service between the Canadian Rockies International Airport (CRIA) at Cranbrook and the Edmonton International Airport (EIA) and the Fort McMurray Airport, beginning June to September of this year.
Integra will roll out the service in three phases, using a 16 passenger Jetstream aircraft initially. The three phases are:
• Service from June to September of 2011 using the Jetstream with three flights a week
• Service from September to December of 2011 with possible seamless connections to Grand Prairie, Alberta and direct flights to Fort McMurray, Alberta, again with the Jetstream
• Direct non-stop service from the Kootenay Valley to Edmonton and direct to Fort McMurray using a SAAB 340B aircraft with 32 passenger seats
Also, to assist in the development of the air service, Integra Air has created a selection of promotional packages that are tailored to those in both the Kootenay Region/Columbia Valley and in Edmonton.

Okko Communities Re-Opens Trails in Kimberley’s Sullivan Landing

Trails and pathways providing contiguous access to the Lois Creek trail system are now re-opened for use
January 3, 2011 (Kimberley, BC) - Okko Communities partner Noel Winter announced today that the Sullivan Landing walking trails have been re-opened after closing in 2009 due to site servicing and land development activities.
Sullivan Landing provides an easy connection between Nurse’s Trail and downtown Kimberley to the major Lois Creek Trail System for walking, hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing.
Part of the extensive Community Trails Network, The Lois Creek Trail System is one of the best maintained and most extensive trail networks in Kimberley. Okko is committed to maintaining the Sullivan Landing system to a comparable standard and for full public use.
While the new community of Sullivan Landing has completed its land development, an active home construction program is now underway. Okko Communities cautions trail users to obey all warning signs and to stay away from fenced off areas when using Sullivan Landing’s trail system.
